25-SEP-20 - Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all community events have been cancelled until further notice. The Annual Homeowner's Association meeting will be scheduled for later in the Fall of 2020. An email will be sent with the new date.

12-JUN-19 - NOVI ROAD IMPROVEMENTS 12 MILE & NOVI ROAD Subject: Work to start Monday at 12 Mile & Novi Road intersection Reply-To: communityrelations@cityofnovi.org 12 Mile & Novi Road intersection improvements The Road Commission for Oakland County will be starting work on the 12 Mile and Novi Road intersection on Monday, June 17. The roadway will be replaced roughly 50-feet north of 12 Mile and 250-south of 12 Mile Road and done in two phases. Phase 1: Remove and replace the very middle of the intersection to include the inside boulevard lanes of 12 Mile Road. During this phase, one outside lane of 12 Mile will be open in each direction and only right turns will be allowed from southbound and northbound Novi Road. Phase 2: Remove and replace the outside portion of the intersection to include the outside boulevard lanes of 12 Mile Road. During this phase, one inside lane of 12 Mile will be open in each direction. Novi Road will be completely closed north and south of 12 Mile Road.  Projected date of completion: August 15, 2019 VIEW ALL BETTER ROADS AHEAD PROJECTS Important Information Project schedules are only estimates. Work could be delayed for a number of factors, such as inclement weather. Motorists should expect delays while work is in progress. 29-MAY-19 - Experience 'A Day in the Life of a Novi Firefighter' Unique program open to Novi residents 18+ takes place Saturday, June 8 Spots are filling up fast for the Firefighter for a Day event on Saturday, June 8 at Novi Fire Station #4. This unique program, offered to residents over the age of 18, is for those who want to learn more about fire operations and possibly pursue a position as a Paid-on-Call Firefighter in Novi. Activities at the event include learning the basics of search and rescue, extrications and extinguishing fires. Registration is required and applicants must be in good physical shape. Register today at cityofnovi.org or call 248.361.1425 for additional information.

29-MAY-19 - The City of Novi is now just a thumb press away City rolls out new smartphone app to enhance connections with residents Connecting with the City has gotten even easier with the new City of Novi smartphone app. The app, which can be found in the Apple iTunes store or Google Play by simply searching "City of Novi," gives you one-click access to the information you use the most. Use the app to register for a Novi Parks program, report a concern, see what's happening around the City or or connect with City Hall.

13-MAY-19 - DO NOT FORGET TO GET YOUR BACKFLOW TESTING DONE BY A LICENSED PLUMBER CERTIFIED IN THIS PARTICULAR TESTING. You should have already sent in the questionnaire regarding water usage in your home. IF NOT, DO IT IMMEDIATELY.

Celebrate Novi's 50th Anniversary with the Detroit Tigers. Pep Rally, Games, Giveaways, HotDogs, Garrett Popcorn, Face Painting, Live Performances, Q & A with Tigers Players.

02-OCT-18 - The Argyle St cut-de-sac has a Road Closure Permit on file with the City of Novi for the AUTUMN PARK BLOCK PARTY event on Saturday, October 20th, 9am-1pm. This even was held last year and was a big success. Fun for children AND adults. Cider and Donuts will be served. PLAN TO ATTEND and MINGLE WITH NEIGHBORS.

02-OCT-18 - PLEASE BE AWARE - It has been brought to the attention of the Bd of Directors that children have been pranking neighbors by ringing doorbells and running away. Please be aware that homeowners have contacted the authorities.

27-AUG-18 - Please help keep our neighborhood safe. See something, Say something. Contact the Novi Police if you see any suspicious activity in our neighborhood. Take notice of strangers lurking around mailboxes and parking in cul-de-sace or commons areas for long periods of time.

27-AUG-18 - PLEASE REPLACE YOUR BURNED OUT LIGHT BULBS in the coach lamps as well as garage and porch lights. If possible, please leave lights on during the dark hours to help keep our neighborhood and children safe.

08-JAN-18 - If you are having issues with your pipes freezing, try these tips: 1) Turn on a faucet, even if it's a slow trickle to ensure water remains flowing 2) Open the doors under your sinks to allow air to circulate 3) Close your garage if water lines run through there 4) Set your thermostat in the house a little higher than usual

12-OCT-17 - LAKESHORE PARK PROJECT BEING REVISITED. Stay tuned for opportunities to provide input on future plans. NOVI TODAY magazine article was printed prior to the Monday, Oct 9 City Council meeting where council members agreed to table a resolution and revisit the scope of the project. The goal of the Council is to create a high-quality park that benefits all Novi residents. We would encourage you to follow the City on social media and check cityofnovi.org regularly for information all things NOVI.

15-AUG-17 - ALERT -- PLEASE pay close attention to anyone who might be stealing items from our neighbors' yards. Reports of theft have been posted. Contact the Novi Police if you have any information or wish to report a suspicious incident.

17-JUL-17 - Sign up now for Novi adult softball leagues Doubleheader leagues for men, co-ed start September 5 You can register as a competitive team, recreational or call the Novi Parks office at 248.347.0400 to be placed on a "free agent" list as an individual. Cost is $384 per team, and umpire fees are $15 per team and are the responsibility of the teams at the field. Men's league is available Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, while co-ed games are Thursday or Friday. Register online at cityofnovi.org by July 31.

17-JUL-17 - Roundabout coming to 10 & Napier Intersection will close to traffic on July 17 from Copperwood to Nepavine Drive

17-JUL-17 - NFL Youth Flag Football kicks off this fall Co-ed league open to players PreK through eighth grade Games are played on Sunday afternoons with practices taking place an hour prior to game time each week. Everyone will receive a reversible NFL jersey, flag belt, and award. Cost is $133.50 plus a 4% processing fee. The season runs from September 10 to October 29.

17-JUL-17 - Pour on the Shore tickets on sale Third annual event, 7-10:30pm, Saturday, July 29 at Pavilion Shore Park Support the Novi Parks Foundation while enjoying craft beer and wine, live music, food samples and beautiful views of Walled Lake at the third annual Pour on the Shore on Saturday, July 28, at Pavilion Shore Park. Tickets are on sale now for $45 and includes eight samples. There also is a cigar area, dancing and a silent auction. The event runs from 7-10:30pm. You can purchase tickets online at noviparksfoundation.org or in person at the Novi Parks Office at the Novi Civic Center.

17-NOV-16 - Today, November 17, 2016 Great Oaks broke ground at the Beck Road and White Pines for the Autumn Park Subdivision 3rd Entrance. The Phase 1 part of the project should be completed in the next two to three weeks. Jim Sirois and the entire Third Entrance Committee did a wonderful job coming up with a aesthetically pleasing, limited wetlands intrusion, and cost effective Phase 1 design. The entire Board has worked tirelessly during their tenure to ensure that a 3rd Entrance became a reality. Drive by and watch the progress. Congratulations teams! Thank you from Sallianne (Pres)

05-NOV-16 - Novi Police notice: ..."Within the last week a black male subject has been seen driving a 4dr. white Chevy sedan in subdivisions within the city. We believe the subject is casing homes. Please be aware of any suspicious vehicles in the neighborhoods and report them immediately. This particular vehicle has been seen mid-afternoons during the week. 14-OCT-16 - BLUE TRASH CART EXCHANGE POSTCARD: If you wish to exchange your 96 gallon trash cart for a smaller one, Waste Management will switch carts at no cost FOR A ONE-TIME OPTION (normally a $15.00 removal/delivery fee). PLEASE FILL OUT THE BLUE POSTCARD BY NOVEMBER 16, 2016.

29-SEP-16 - TRASH TALK: PLEASE USE YOUR OLD CARTS UNTIL THEY ARE REMOVED. Advanced and Republic Cart Pick-up/Removal process will be taking place beginning Monday, October 3rd. The carts will be removed throughout the week. Please DO NOT remove it from the curb for any reason from October 3rd until removed. Please call 866-797-9018 if your cart has not been removed by Monday, October 10th.

29-JUL-16 - DID YOU HEAR??? THE THIRD ENTRANCE WAS APPROVED AT THE ANNUAL MEETING in May, after a very visual presentation with all of the financials and plans to move forward. We are awaiting the building permit, once the Wetlands Consultation has been reviewed. The Title Insurance came back with no issues. Great job Jim Sirois, Ken Dause and committee members for your hours of work and a beautiful design.

23-JUN-16 - CITY OF NOVI TRASH ROLLOUT...new collection day will be THURSDAYS. NOTE: The July 4th holiday will affect service the week of July 4. Service will be one day behind...Thursday service will be on Friday, July 8th, and will resume as usual on Thursday, July 14th.

23-JUN-16 - AMERICAN MAILBOX SERVICES has been contracted by the Association to replace mailboxes, straighten and repair faulty posts, remove rust and loose paint and repaint the posts and brackets. Work has started and we are offering homeowners the option of having their lampposts painted as well. Please complete your "opt in" sheet mailed to your home last week. An email will confirm your payment for this additional service.

04-FEB-16 - Last night's Third Entrance Committee meeting was well attended. Our new Chairperson is Jim Sirois. The Committee is charged with reviewing all plans for a Third Entrance, gathering price quotes, deciding on a design and plan to move forward. Please contact Jim if you are interested in joining the committee. At this point, approximately a dozen homeowners are represented on that committee. Thank-you volunteers !!!

We have sent these letters as a proactive attempt to represent the residents regarding our concerns. Please go to the Black MENU box on the left and read them listed under DOCUMENTS.

24-AUG-15 - TRASH TALK Public Information Meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 25th, 6-30-8pm at Hickory Woods Elementary School, 30655 Novi Road, Novi. Earlier this year, the Novi City Council unanimously passed a motion directing City staff to draft an ordinance which would move Novi to a single trash hauler system. 10-JUL-15 - Construction for the White Pines Drive Rehabilitation Project has been re- scheduled to begin on July 13, 2015. The project includes concrete road rehabilitation, concrete ADA ramps, new concrete curb medians, and structure rehabilitation within the City of Novi right of ways of White Pines Drive. (See the notice under DOCUMENTS in the menu bar to the left).
